TRIANGLES - DI LUIGI COLA
"ANGLES & TRIANGLES - OPEN & CLOSED - IN & OUT OF THINGS"

World-wide the symbolism of the triangle is present throughout the history of humanity, from the Paleolithic to the present day. It becomes, in its representation, manifestation of the return to the primordial unity. Reflects mainly the idea of divinity, is the idea of man's ascent towards the divine, universal transcendence, a Divine protection osmosis towards humanity and nature in the encounter of the microcosm with the macrocosm, and vice versa. According to the peculiar interpretation, in the order of closed figures, the triangle lies between the circle and the square, from which we can infer that represents an intermediate entity between the substance almost spiritual, abstract, and matter that instead falling back under our senses. Different readings conceal this pictorial cycle in which the constant representation of the triangle, geometric figure closely equated with three numerals, becomes a deep search-studio in the spaces of its slopes as an opportunity for reflection on the different emotional contrasts pre-rational who often feel emerge from deepest corners and emotional sphere complexes. Three sides, three vertices, which divide, multiply. As each generation will multiply, through the Division, so the man is an equilateral triangle bisected: inside and out, with identical dimensions to designate the universal perfection. According to the particular alchemical interpretation, in the order of closed figures, the triangle is the graphical representation of the four elements. For example, the triangle with the tip upwards symbolizes fire and male, with the tip at the bottom instead is meaning water and female. The balance between two triangles is given by their Union in the form of the hexagon stellato, the graphical representation of the seal of Solomon, the intersection of two inverted triangles. The equilateral triangle represents the deity, harmony, proportion. Scalene triangle with sides and corners all differ from each other is to reinforce the meaning in the representation of the loss of balance, beginning of expulsion from the order and perfection. The triangle symbols cannot be fully understood if not in function of its relations with the other geometric shapes, so this artistic phase cannot be included unless vista depending on its contemporary identity, where it is stated, with painting procedures, its feelings, memories, symbols, fragility and fear, spirituality and culture on the one hand, and on the other the individual from encroachment of all thingsto produce independently, forms, signs and colors, generated by free imagination and no strained out of the places where life is inhabited by a synchronic and deceptive reality, but in his most intimate essence, in and out of things. The pictorial cycle: "ANGLES & TRIANGLES - OPEN & CLOSED - IN & OUT OF THINGS" is a subtle reflection on the uniqueness of man, with his potential conquests and its fragility, it is a necessity, innate, to claim the right to abandon the crowding of stimuli that explodes and overlapping them, is a tribute to the fantastic life and is no longer elusive, with spontaneity and palpable creativity.
