Noi siamo quello che vediamo (dittico + targa titolo)

" We are what we see" is a photographic diptych in which two pizzas were cut so as to take the form of political symbols ( swastika , hammer and sickle ) that have marked the history of the 900 and are , still , a ( tragic ) polarity with which it must deal collective thinking in the present . The pizza evokes the theme of " food " to which the title refers indirectly . It recalls the phrase "we are what we eat " of the German philosopher Ludwig Andreas Feuerbach (1804-1872) and , in this way, summarizes the essential value of the act of "seeing " as a primary form of power of our soul but denounces at the same time , the lack of awareness and inability to manage it properly . In the same way we perceive an overabundance of food supply but we often eat poorly and not so healthy . Similarly, I believe that "see" references to "shape" of our consciousness (our level of awareness ) and, therefore , it represents the limits as well as possibilities .
