The world of cartoons and comics – just like the world of television and show business – is soft, fictitious, rich in characters and symbolisms we would all like to embody, in order to escape our mundane life, or to create a customized “alter ego” to wear whenever we want – just like Clark Kent becomes Superman at his own will..“In Plastic We Trust” is then a monicker that was stolen, revisited and corrected. The new “God” is no longer everywhere, huge and invisible. He is on TV, on the Intenet, in the newspapers, in the shop windows and in the stadiums . you can buy him whenever and wherever you want. The series “In Plastic We Trust” in a journey into the immaterial, which wants to overturn the icons accepted or disapproved of by society. It’s a parody of images, interrupting a message that would otherwise go untouched with its normalizing power.
