LA CENERE E LA CARNE

LA CENERE E LA CARNE

Sculpture, Human figure, 50x200x40cm
The sculpture is an interpretation of the human figure of a man a little smaller than reality.
This has made of polyester resin, varnished and patined .The base is made of wood.
It has a size of approximately 200x50x40cm and weighs about 35kg.
It has the texture of modeling clay, it seems the most appropriate to represent human flesh material is a soft and moist, very plastic, with a very nice texture to simulate skin. After the first modeling I was interested in playing with the possibilities and nuances that offer modern materials how the resin.
The sculpture has basic the human body, anatomy and what us have inside.
I am interested in researching new materials (and how they intervene in the bodies today) textures, gesture or anything affecting our visual and sensory field.
The plasticity of the flesh, which is capable of stretching, twisting, or modified to suit the consumer.
Our vital impulses, what drives us to acts and actions everyday ... Life and death as part of it. The construction and destruction of matter, ash and meat. The visceral part of our existence.
im interested in a way to work from the model and represent a more introspective way, with a more personal language, destroying to build.
In Latin language: seduction and destruction are the same word, two very interesting concepts for my work.
