Painting, Emotion, Abstract informal, Mixed technique, 150x100x4cm
This artwork belongs to a series called “Primeval Abstractism” by the artist, as if she wanted to disclose that her true aim is to cast away all rational factors, beyond all appearances, and so doing achieve a deeper level of knowledge and
consciousness of the self, possibly shown through an ancestral gesture.
In the process, the use of a peculiar colour scale or material is one possible external expression of the most intimate core of the artist.
These artworks can be described, following Pascal’s theory, as belonging to the category of the “spirit of finesse”: in fact, here is clearly shown that kind of sensitivity, intuition and capability to capture the mysterious conflict of existence, that the philosopher used to ascribe to that sense, typical of the “umanistic” attitude.
