Beauty Is Dead #1

For this piece, I wanted to try something different and use mathematical code that is then translated into color, becoming a kind of narrative in the background. In this painting each color rectangle represents either a 1 or a 0 and the arrangement of the colors creates computer binary code. The code can then be translated into letters if one wants, but if not, I believe the code still achieves what simple lettering cannot, a hidden narrative when one looks deep enough while still retaining the emotional impact pure color has on the soul.
