Painting, Memory, Portrait, Oil, 12x9x1cm
This is a selection of portraits from the photos on the tombstones of small cemeteries scattered throughout the countryside of Tuscany.
They are presented like an unique work.
I realized this work for a while 'time, seeing these faces grow more and more in number.
The basic idea is to portray the photos on the tombstones, with the signs of the time degradation, as if they show the fading memory of these individuals. The fact of oil paint, with the time that goes with it, to exalt the value of the individual, which compares with that of others, lost in the numbers.

These portraits were exhibited in the gallery of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in the group show "Non sono che un uomo' in 2012

Grazie!
