In the summer, in the Fort, is a painting created during a workshop in Forte Marghera (an ancient fortification) when I relized a series of works related to the surrounding landscape. Forte Marghera is one of the many places of the Venice Lagoon, which has been abandoned for years, and has a strong historical and natural importance and also represents an enormous potential for the city. My reflection is about the marginal sites those less well-known than the “landscapes / postcard” to which we are continually and involuntarily subjected and questions the relationship between humans and the living spaces, or abandoned. The partial abandonment of the fort makes it a wonderfully interesting from many points of view, and allows to ensure a certain uncontaminated place, a kind of protection from mass tourism, a virgin and wild freedom of this "third landscape" (Gilles Clément ) that defies the order and retains an original beauty.
