The series is inspired by the Ancient Greek myth of the birth of Venus. The visuals overlay Sandro Botticelli’s painting by the same name, placed within a cosmic context. The project is placed in an interdisciplinary framework within digital photography, 3D digital art, cosmophysical data visualisation and semiotics. The chosen media (digital photography, 3D digital graphics) reflects the duality of present existence of the subject: the real and the superficial.
