Here but there

Here but there

The image (built or found?) of a character (an actor or somebody who was simply passig by?) whom is observing with the help of an instrument, of a pair of binoculars. The study and the comprehension of reality need technical, scientific or intellectual instruments that mediate this relationship. In the moment we take interest in something, we limit our view on that thing: if we look there we don’t see here, if we think of the future we are not in the present.
Who is the character in the photograph who is voluntarily performing the action of looking? The artist or the viewer?
The photograph is printed on poster paper and directly glued to the wall of the exhibition space.
