Ego

The choice of the title "Ego" is the will to move away from mere selfportrait and express what is beyond the form, that is the spirit, the inner self.

The only subject of the painting is the figure kneeling in meditation.
The black background / ultramarine blue, the composition and the forms want to engage the viewer in the same inner "journey" of the subject of the painting.
