Born in 1989, GOGO Yu as a young girl creates purely with her unbridled imagination and fantasy. Her brilliance lies not in her verbal communication with people, but rather her keen observation and sensibility – observation and sensibility that silently transform into a carefree butterfly roaming all around. What she depicts under her brushstrokes may be her momentary sentimental touch or the overall aura surrounding her. Each painting of hers is as an independent planet. With her “art fantasy” , she leads us to explore the magic and wonderland of the broader universe.

GOGO believes that every individual’s inner self is a small planet by itself, and occasionally we have to leave the planet for adventure. Artistic creation is to equip imagination with swings which take us afar from our home planet and into the unknown but fun-filled universe. Every creation, in this sense, is a projection of the inner self and exploration of a new planet in the open universe.
