"Kluven Akt"

who created this impossible monument of stone and for what porpuse ? What does it all mean and why is it split in half ? What history lies behind this pillar of stone ?
When i painted this image i used my imagination in way that distilles my drivingforce and my ambition in my life. No direct visuall reference in front of me because it has made me more aware of things around me. I look and analyse with much more focus so that when it is time for ideas to form i am free to take what ever road i choose in pursuite of that idea i have locked in my head.

I have taken out the visuall notion of humans creating something and just showed the result of humans interacting. It is for the viewer to create the part in between and figure out what story lies behind this impossible structure.
For me i want the painting to be as enigmatic for me as it hopefully will be to anyone else.
