The project examines the relationships between objects and their embedded memory in an attempt to produce an 'upgraded heritance' from a collection of old articles that has great sentimental value.
Through four objects that pass from generation to generation in my family - candlesticks, collection of pipes, a traditional sewing box, and some jewelry - I tried to examine how one can inherit not the object itself, but a story, emotion experience.
For each object I've created five 'offspring', like the number of brothers who are to share with me our family treasures.
What stories the things that we leave behind will tell about us? Can we produce a stronger connecting effect to the objects surrounds us? And is it possible to clean the cabinet dust and give our preserved objects a second time around?
