Breath

Installation, Nature, Abstract geometrical, Various materials, 210x150x60cm
As if nature and phenomenons of large scale had become repeatable in a laboratory and mutable without visible and phisical human intervention, diminishing the divide between micro and macroscopic.

The breath of the interactor ends in vitro to change the four natural elements artificially generated by the mechanical and magnetic force, to then reintegrate itself in the environment.

The machine is actioned by blowing inside the first copper cavity, after which the four containers mix their elements, in the water it creates a whirlpool, the earth creates a small tornado of sand, the air is represented by the spiral movement of a light feather, and fire is represented by ash.

Each intervention in the containers follows a logic of mutability, and in fact the elements are mixed by concentric rotations thanks to magnets and fans applied in the higher and lower parts of the containers, that are actioned by the blowing: these, rotating quickly, favour the creation of a central vortex that pulls in its movement the entire contents of the object.

Once the cycle of the four elements is closed, after more or less forty seconds from the blow of the spectator, the fans stop blocking the functioning of the machine and freeing the second cycle, that actions a small puff of air from the last copper cavity placed at the end of the installation, the small puff of air representing your breath.

The aforementioned has a small fan inside the for a time of about ten seconds, blows towards the outside, "expelling" the original blow in the machine, as to bring back to the natural environment the puff of each spectator after having been mutated and having mutated the agents in the four containers.
