aperitivo stenopeico
The observer is captured by the ambiguity of the vision: the un-definable image of what could be real and be grasped blurs and escapes simultaneously with movement.
I offer a “aperitivo stenopeico” (from the Greek stenos opaios, provided with a hole) that stimulates sight, which is attracted by an ever changing, new perception. A true, genuine complicity is established between the work and the observer, which as in any active complicities, induces the curiosity of experimenting the infinite optical delusions offered by the many and changing points of view.
Light takes colour through what appears like a changing celestial body, in an indefinite space. Light that creates movement defines a time which seems not to flow but rather pass at an irregular pace, determined by the observer.
