Within my work I attempt to paint the spirituality of objects. The idea originally comes from my personal view with the Japanese spiritualism such as Shinto, whose belief is that all of things have their own spirits. Although my approach has started from the specific Japanese spiritualism, now I believe that spiritual views have still unconsciously taken root in our modern lives where even people regard themselves as atheists. My intention is to prompt viewers to rethink importance of spirituality for human life, through aesthetic representation.

With this idea, I am currently dealing with human figures in my works, with an attempt to blend figurative depiction and an accidental, abstract way. My current challenge is how to show human spirits in my works to rely on accidental surfaces rather than narrative representation.

Strong emotion. Fluidity, transparency, fragility. You can "touch" our fragility. Good work

Forse la tua pittura rimane vicina alla statua del candore. Nulla s'impone se non la canonica silente. Brava. Pino Spadavecchia.
