Presso Acque Tranquille

If you follow my work, you might be surprised to know that this beautiful scene, encompassing an exquisite pond nestled among trees, pictures my home. The really surprising part is that I have never painted it before. While I’ve thought about painting it, sometimes it takes deeper things than beauty for the muse to draw its attention to something.

I painted this piece side by side with my painting entitled Guardian Spirits of the Earth. This was the first to be developed and it represents the phase in which I familiarized myself with the place, from a painter’s perspective. What follows in the next painting is the introduction of my vision upon the scene.
