Every once in a while, I want to paint something really fast and direct, as opposed to my usually, painstaking layered style. In fact, I really enjoy alternating my painting style, though the popular idea is that an artist is supposed to develop a signature style and stick with it. As in all areas of my life, I enjoy diversity and like to vary my approach to keep things fresh. And so it is with this, my newest painting. Seeing is Believing is the name of my most recent oil painting. It features a view of the Abruzzi Apennine mountain range in central Italy, as seen from Monte Terminillo.
