FAMILY SEQUENCES
Our shadows are like our lives….they have a brief duration passing without a trace. Yet my impression is that while we are here our lives are extremely meaningful. As long as we are alive all that exists is present and real.
The road in my work is a metaphor that captures the paths we take as we embark on our journey through life…unfolding slowly like every step we take and leading me to emotional and spiritual development.
I believe the attention on individual happiness today has allowed a more self centered culture that forgets what a huge influence our families have on our lives. The definition of "family" has changed incredibly in the last years. We have blended families, patchwork families and adoptive families. Families with one parent, two, three parents or more and families with one, two, three faiths and some with none. However my perception is that our loving, awkward and imperfect family is our natural condition.
