In my exchange year in MASSART in Boston, I went for the work in the "home picture class" to Rollingstone, which is a village in Minnesota founded in 1985 by Luxemburgish immigrants. When the harvest was difficult many Luxemburgers went to America where they got double as much land, the people who had left and survived the difficult travel that could take three years found each other in the same place in Minnesota, a place that was called Rollingstone by the indians who had to leave. Still today, they have the same land to harvest and the same names, some of the old people still speak Luxemburgish. Fascinating is that the people kept over the generations same habits and traditions and are holding on to their Luxemburgish identity much more than Luxemburgers themself.
