Nel Momento della Verità

For me, the fascination of doing a self portrait lies in the fact that each portrait captures a different aspect of myself.  As an artist who has painted many self portraits, I  am more concerned with the essence of the portrait than the likeness. In this respect, the self-portrait is a kind of visual diary.
