Aureola No.13

In “Aureola No.13”, the sculptural object that I stood on was placed in different locations in Hong Kong such as Mongkok (the place which is internationally known for its extremely high population density), Victoria Harbour (an icon of Hong Kong as a world metropolitan city) and other places. My bodily existence as part of the work being perceived by the people on-site overlapped with my bodily experience of perceiving the environment and the people there. The photo documentation as a means to present the work is expected to lead the audience (and myself) to a new level of understanding of the relationship between “self” and “others”.
