Thinking and doing
The world of Jacob is about thinking and doing, about an artist who thinks about his art and therefore, does not have time left, to do ....
As a teacher he is constantly surrounded by students, staff and colleagues.
He has become very experienced in dealing with fellow human beings. This environment is displayed on the background of his portrait with the colors black and blue. Black, refers to the cold selection of students, the required education returns, the quantification of the education and envy that inevitably occurs in these busy people groups. The blue indicates the clear honesty and openness as characteristic in his profession.
The painted flowers show the perception of his world. This is achieved by painting the flat flower petals in another dimension compared to the portrait. The black and white edges of the flowers make it clear that a man can always choose between the good and evil. The flower hearts give Jacobs strong capacity for concentration. The leaves have an apparent thickness. This represents his creativity and inventiveness. The flowers are in the color of the background, like a chameleon. This is a metaphor for its flexibility and adaptability. A human being can not stop thinking, and can not stop doing.
This is his message to you:
Normally, you may live for 30,000 days, more or less.
With, for each and every day, new opportunities, new hope, new creativity, from the first, to the very last day.
Given to you by god, through your mother,
without any consideration or restraint.
How many days did you consume and do you have left ?
What are you going to do with those ? Do you choose for the bad opportunities or the good ones, do you see the hope, do you create goodness ?
