Toy child #25/7 2009

The “toy child”s featuring the cat are a more intimate work concerning a study on the artist herself and on her need of looking for the meaning of identity. An identity hybridized and confused with the one of her life companion, the kitten Kiki. A mask, a shift to propose a vision of herself and of her own inner part, without forgetting the origins and reasons of the research in “toy child” work. The artist recognizes herself in the world of the “toy child”, from which she does not cut herself off remaining only an observer. She recognizes herself working out an intense vision that tells about her own background.
(A work now totally dedicated to her cat Kiki, dead on July 28th, 2009, after 18 years of life with the artist).
