But that something inevitably beats beneath (or from the depths) is shown by the horizon
line which can be seen in almost all the paintings and which I referred to at the beginning. It is not the
symbol of renaissance perspective, nor does it hint at a limit; it is, rather, the space of infinite clashes,
fusions, chromatic passages. There is no longer a here or there, an above or below: distances develop
into correspondences, to echoes and mirroring.
