"azmenia.com" is a dating website for Armenians and Azeris, conceived in order to aid in ending the war and the hatred between these two great cultures.
Following Hitler's "Lebensborn" program, in which Germany wanted to breed a racially pure population, by mixing German soldiers with Norwegian women, the two Governments (both Armenian and Azeri) will develop a 10 year program that will cleanse the history of their nations. It plans to increase the birth rate of two countries that fought, hurt and killed each other continuously in the last hundred years and search a sort of peace.
Every man and woman of these two countries (under 35 years old) who is not married and does not have children will have to create an account on the newly developed dating website "azmenia.com". Free internet shall be provided by the governments, even to the most remote places. Refusals shall not be tolerated. Anyone who will not be able to offer a plausible motive for delaying their enlisting shall be interrogated.
After creating the account, people will choose an avatar and start searching for possible partners - that must belong to the neighboring country.
Having chosen a possible partner, flirting shall occur through the website and, later, through videochat.
The border between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be crossed freely and, thus, people will share their cultures and try to know each other better.
The hatred will be replaced with love. Friendships will be made, marriages will be done, children shall be born.
The project will last 10 years. After that, it shall no longer be needed.
Through the program, it is sought to bring to an end the xenophobia that grew between Armenia and Azerbaijan because of the territorial problem raised by Nagorno-Karabakh, a territory that was both Armenian and Azeri. The conflict escalated after the end of the USSR.
Karabakh was declared an Autonomous Oblast on July 7th, 1923, and was offered to Azerbaijan SSR by Joseph Stalin, who was then acting as Commissar of Nationalities for the USSR. It is estimated that at the moment of adhesion, Karabakh's population was 80% Armenian and 20% Azeri. This was a political manoeuvre, in order to appease the Ottoman Empire. The friendship between Azeris and Turks is well known.
Also, the Armenian Genocide of 1915 did not help the situation. More than 1.5 million Armenians were killed by the Ottoman empire, in a systematic extermination from their historic homeland.
