This painting tells the story of a woman Eritrea who courageously faces the sea to reach the island of Lampedusa .... unfortunately many of these women leave the obscure harbors of Libya then become " daughters of the sea " , as the ' emigration in those terrible conditions is marked by experiences of pain and even death ... This painting still want to represent the hope that our time will tell us also of exceptional cases where solidarity will lead to the " rebirth " of these women ... women who have been so brave in the crossing between the waves of the sea .
