Devotion

This painting forms part of a series entitled ‘Surfacing’ which explores what remains or ‘surfaces’ when seemingly random layers of paint are applied, each layer covering more of what lies beneath, obscuring much but not all of the background. What is left behind takes on its own character and stories begin to be told within the layers.
