Choreography for the Scanner is from the series In Between Frames, which explores the fundamentals of animated motion through simple repetition. The series investigates the metamorphosis of a form re-produced and generated under set constraints that yield unlimited variables. All images are created using a flatbed scanner. The digital interpretations, though distorted, are a reminder of the technologies that are fundamental for such transcriptions, and experimental practices, which are at the heart of the history of cinema and the moving image.
