The artwork Love youUP is part of a research focusing on the Non-Places of urban suburbs of different cities. These landscapes are Non-Places of the memory, because, even if they have an extremely realistic feel, almost tactile, which is given by the combination of acrylic colors, crayons, charcoals and graphite mixing on sheets of raw paper applied on the canvas, they are not, by any means, photographic. They live off the tension that the artists puts in trying to go beyond photography. The human absence is a deception, because these landscapes are human and exude raw humanity and decay, but also light and expressionist colors, which denote both the passage of the artist and her intimate presence, and the infinite changes which overlap with the places’ past.
