Eight States of a Heart
Eight States of a Heart is an installation consisting of eight wodden boxes, each with a drawing and a sculpture for the body in form of a brooch. It illustrates eight situations in life and their emotional status.
The drawing allows emotions to flow freely through my hand and the pen onto the paper. At the same time, these emotions feel very plastic to me, they seem to consist more of three than only two dimensions. Emotions are very personal, so that rather than making a sculpture that would be placed on a plinth in space, I opted for a sculpture that belongs to be attached to the human body.
