(un)veiling is part of an ongoing project started in 2014. A woman undressing herself while covering her face with the same shirt. The setting is characterized by frontal camera shot and neutral lighting. This image captures the simple daily gesture of undressing, generally occurring within domestic confines. The intimate parts usually hidden, are exposed while the face, which can be defined as the explicit incarnation of one’s identity, is concealed. The sight is continuously moving from the breasts laid bare only to be drawn back to the patch of colour covering the face, while the senses register and gather those delicate nuances in gesture and form, skin color, drops of perspiration…
