"A Hunger Artist"
Inspired by the novel by Kafka, the photographic series “A Hunger Artist” reflects on the vocation and the discipline needed in the arts. It is the story of an abstinence taken to the extreme limit. The self-enforced restrain from food, the deprivation – metaphor for art and writing - is the field where the hunger artist measures himself, the place in which he shows to the public its sheer inevitable dedication to his talent. The hunter artist will end up ignored and forgotten in a circus but he does not stop to fast, pushing himself to the extreme, till death.
