the touch

The photographs show the process of creating a painting by me and my co-painter Ewelina Makosa. The canvas is 2 meters wide and 10 meters long, paints are arylic. Painting together on site we explore our relationship through our bodies and the sense of touch. Our starting idea is that media invade through language and visuality our relationship with others and deprive us of intimate body experience. The painting takes us to reality of our experience of each other, in the sense that it tells us more than what we know. It is a performative action of painting which we want to perform on site but we can also show the canvas we have already done together – we leave this up to Jury.
