Fugitive

Fundamental to my work is a philosophy of perception which involves change and plurality.
Decorative and ornamental motifs are used to explore concerns related to loss and desire. The paintings invite us to consider how we perceive what we see on the painted surface - and then how that might relate to our interior lives. It is as if we look into them and yet through a gauze or mist. How deep is the space? Is it shallow or infinite? The elusive images constantly shift, entice, elude, where the eye can never settle or the image be completely contained.
