Silent Obscurity
Silent Obscurity
interpreted/inspired by "Puberteit" - Ingrid Jonker
The child in me lay motionless
neglected, blind and seamlessness
in a pool she sank below
drowned somewhere in the dark beyond
nonchalant as a fawn
you celebrated I know, till dawn
and did not warn with gesture thus
of death or danger nor make a fuss
but in my sleep I still see your hands
and the white fire of thine eyes:
repeatedly I shiver and I wonder
did you kill the child in me,
my insides plunder.......?
