Blue womb

Lago is a typical village on the shore of a little lake in Veneto Region, in the north of Italy. At first sight the village seems to be so anonymous that it takes its name from a natural element, not having one of its own. But a mysterious legend breaks the normality of this place. It is told that, at the end of the First World War, an Austro-Hungarian train which connected two strategic points nearby has been thrown into the lake and that it is still there today at a few tens of meters of depth. Over the years the clay under the lake covered the train, but fishermen and children who live in the village tell that sometimes, if you stay close to the surface of the lake, you can still hear the train's driving noise coming from under the water.
