221 Reasons To Say No

Nicolas Vionnet (*1976, Zurich, Switzerland)
221 Reasons To Say No (2015)
antique scale, 221 nails
40 x 25 x 50 cm

The work 221 Reasons To Say No consists of an antique scale and 221 nails. The nails are positioned in a clear grid and are reminiscent of a fakirs' bed of nails.

Nicolas Vionnet is triggered by irritation and integration: his installations, interventions and objects approach and create a non-hierarchical dialogue with the environment. This dialogue opens up a field of tension, which allows the viewer an intensive glimpse of both these phenomena.

is difficult to lie on nails , as much as stand on it ! It is a question of distribution of mass , surface and weight ! everything has its form and its content ; everything appears in one way but has a contnuto unexpected , sometimes ! very nice work ! compliments!
