DEFORESTATION ( 2010, marble, golden leaf, tarnish, cm 30x30x3, one piece, equipped with an handmade iron frame, adaptable to the wall) was born from an Internet image regarding the deforestation of a populated area, the people were later forced to leave the region because of the impoverishment of the local economy due to the wild cut. The artist has modified the image from Internet. In his own drawing, every cut trunk on the ground shows a cross, figuring out a wooden coffin, the irresponsible choise causes destruction and death. In this work of art, as well as in other piece by Berni, is notable the painting and the golden leaf applying.
