Magna Carta Women

A 4- piece panel which celebrates a 800 year journey towards women's rights and freedoms in Great Britain. The collage includes 47 women and 3 men who have campaigned for women's rights including Emmeline Pankhurst, John Stuart Mill and Mary Wollstonecraft. The project was created for the 800 year anniversary of Magna Carta in 2015 and has toured Southern England including Royal Holloway University and Guildhall Art Gallery in the City of London. The theatrical collage is inspired by stained glass windows, the main visual art form of the Magna Carta era and is set in the Garden of Eden.
