Appearances and inner self

This painting is the 4° of 10, in my Project candidate in Celeste Prize 2016.
As immediate impression, you can imagine the head of a multicolored bird, that is, appearances in the world. But soon after, often suddenly, this shape represents a female face, partial and stylized, but still capable a look as lost and absorbed in her existential drama. It is the inner self.
Top overlooking a fish that looks at the viewer, indicating the central figure. It represents the "The 'reciter', the figure of Mannerist painting that is a witness and intermediary to the viewers" (cit. Bonito Oliva).
