This is Bill. His story, his myth, his scars, his life, all mapped out on his flesh. Bills portrait is apart of an ongoing investigation into how imagery of people and places can create narratives through the personal bias, history, culture and imagination of the viewer. Our skin is a shell, one which changes with scars and ages with us. We manipulate and modify it, protect it, care for it, hide it and show it off. It encompasses all that it means to be human, marked, imperfect and beautiful. Bill welcomes viewers to read their individual interpretation of his flesh. Weather he is found intimidating, unpleasant, intriguing, warm or beautiful; his narrative will change from viewer to viewer.
