Under My Skin
- The essence of photography for me is, looking closely, finding patterns and focus on one thing, your emotion. There is where I find the essence of the story that needs to be told.
“One can be the master of what one does, but never of what one feels” – Gustave Flaubert
- They say I’m a beautiful woman, but I do not feel it that way. The physical pain takes all the beauty away and doubt takes over. Self-doubt becomes my master and during periods of time I life in a sort of twilight zone. The world from the inside is totally different than from the out side.
Under My Skin is a photographic testimony of what happens in my mind during these periods of pain and distress. It’s a project where I confront my fears, allowing the feelings of disappointment to be seen and showing the vulnerability of a woman. The emotions, that are not visible from the out side but dominate my life from the inside.
