REMIX THE CINEMA
Remix the Cinema is a project of live cinema and electronic music whose tangible result is synthesis: a 90 minutes film reproduced and performed live in a 15 minutes time.
Synthesizing (and doing it live) means to us restoring the integrity of a movie using a new language and narrative-emotional structures that enhance the movie and its poetry. The visual narrative – based only on the images of the movie - is enriched by the expressive possibilities offered by new technologies (vjing, real-time processing) and the soundtrack hybridizes and transforms the original sounds through the remix and the live electronic elaboration.
Remix the Cinema is the result of research aimed at the discovery of new hybrid languages and new forms of narrative and entertainment. Remix the Cinema is a live performance: domineering as live music, fascinating as the images of the past.
