The painting is a tribute to our little white bird Freedom who used to love watching us paint.
Behind-the-scene story: As I was working on the painting, there were two bird seeds that kept appearing on the canvas, but Birdie was already gone and no human was putting them there, so I took it as a sign and the two seeds are embedded in centres of two of the blue star-shaped flowers…an orange-headed bird on the left is trying to get one of them.
