PRESENT TENSE
Present Tense is the examination of things, different objects and contemplation of their symbolism and existence. The enlargement of these objects is a staging to appreciate the physical form of these objects with certain pieces bringing to mind monuments of Western art history such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace, fragments of Gothic church portals or draperies of Italian Renaissance masters.
By assembling familiar objects in a new way, by adjusting the scale or light of objects, new dimensions and perspectives can be opened to us. And in these new dimensions and perspectives is space for imagination and re-discovery of our immediate world.
