Tent

Field research redefining menstrual taboos (Buckley & Gottlieb) inspired Tent. Cross-cultural studies now show taboos were distinct and different. They did not protect society from a universal ascribed feminine evil. Instead, menstrual taboos protected the perceived creative spirituality of menstruating women. Using solitude and meditation, I reimagine old taboos in the study of menstruation.
