Forget Myself

Forget Myself

Painting, Portrait, Political / Social, Philosophy, Ideas, Mixed technique, 46x54cm
This image symbolises the reality that humanity creates when the mind takes over and the true self is forgotten. The disturbed faces represent a troubled mind endlessly preoccupied with many problems and pulled in different directions, creating a tangle of worries. The human self becomes lost and confused in their own psychological maze full of twists and turns. The same distorted faces can be seen when political, cultural or social groups become so gripped by their ideology that they forget the essence of what it means to be human.
