Kadet

The idea for Kadet came to me while working on the relationship between body consciousness and pleasure. The photo is suspended between hyperrealism and surrealism: two very different concepts that, etymologically, refer to “something” that goes “beyond reality.” It is impossible to clearly describe with words what that “something” is. But what the image conveys to the viewers, in its own language, is a sense of freedom of expression that overcomes everything else.
